The prop saver was
invented by a chap called
Claus Urbach from
Germany and has no doubt saved many many props from breaking
over the years. Designed to absorb some of the impact when
the propeller comes in contact with the ground ( or seperate
from the aircraft all together) the prop saver is a simple
to fit device that many RC pilots love. They can either be
purchased on the Internet from any good hobby store or you
can make your own.


If you fancy making your own slow stick prop saver use a
spare double-ended servo horn, or a 3/16” plastic wing nut.
Remove the prop and install the servo horn as shown below:
